Guest guest
If you take a break from Synthroid I would at least give L-Tyrosine a try for a couple of months, start with 500 mg three times per day, up to 1000 mg, three times per day on an empty stomach. L-Tyrosine increase norepinephrine, dopamine and thyroid hormones. Your body uses L-Tyrosine to naturally make the thyroid hormones. Synthroid is synthetic thyroid hormone. I recall you said you had anxiety before PSSD but your anxiety and libido reduced considerably when you developed PSSD. Anxiety = high norepinephrine = high tyrosine. Tyrosine gives a person energy by increasing norepinephrine and thyroid hormones. > > > > > > Apparently Synthroid can increase dopamine in excess, and eventually > deplete it. Guest guest
Haven't heard that thyroid replacement adversely affects dopamine. Please expand upon your comment. I have been on Synthroid for close to 4 years and I wonder if I have to quit it for some time, so that everything can balance out.
