Guest guest
I gave up bread/cake/cookies quite a while ago because I discovered I felt better without them in my diet. Was good weight control too. A few months ago I suffered two severe gall bladder attacks (guess what...Birth Control Pills cause gall bladder issues - if you've read my other posts you know I feel that BCPs are as bad as SSRI's) and was told to go on bland diet and so I was consuming wheat products again. My weight went up drastically (9 pounds in 5 days) even though my clothes didn't seem to fit any differently and I was eating less calories. Also, I started craving grains and sugar big time. The information presented here seems to explain what was going on. I also suspect now my sudden crying episodes over PSSD were because of the changes in diet. I'm feeling better now that I have successfully eliminated wheat from my diet again - not craving wheat or sugar and not crying anymore. Amazing! Though I do miss eating sandwiches a bit! > > > > Very informative and interesting. > > > > > > > > I believe I've been wheat intolerant my whole life and that this > undetected problem most certainly contributed to moodiness and mild > depression which led to being prescribed antidepressants. > > >
Guest guest
Wheat has been a big issue for me too. I think I probably would never have needed antidepressants if I had known to go off wheat earlier. And the biggest 'what if' is maybe the same thing was affecting my brother who killed himself. I found that after eliminating wheat, when I eat it again I get extremely irritable, depressed, anxious and foggy brained. You can look it up, all of those are documented symptoms even though they aren't talked about as much as digestive symptoms (which I don't have). By getting rid of wheat, I am literally the happiest I've been in my life. Now imagine getting my sexuality back and I will be on top of the world! I definitely recommend anyone with any history of our problems to try wheat free for at least 3 weeks and then see how it works for you. Even better if you replace it with more healthy foods and veggies, not just rice and potatoes. > > > > > > Very informative and interesting. > > > > > > > > > > > > I believe I've been wheat intolerant my whole life and that this > > undetected problem most certainly contributed to moodiness and mild > > depression which led to being prescribed antidepressants. > > > > > >
