Guest guest
I think NYC IBCLCs should become luggage testers. I actually don't buy cheap luggage because it falls apart. If I buy the expensive luggage, they will routinely replace wheels. I take the subway or, when necessary, the bus. I also walk longer distances to avoid going up and down too many staircases at some subway stops. I have two rollaboards in case a wheel breaks (inevitably when it is snowing or raining) so I can use the other piece of luggage when the wheels need replacing. I have now found a 22 inch suitcase that perfectly fits my scale when I take the tray off. I wrap the base of the scale in bubble wrap. I don't take much because I really don't like selling anything. Just inexpensive stuff like nipple shields, syringes, tubes and tape. I always rig up a Jack Newman's style bottle and then tell parents which type of permanent device to buy if they like using the tube on the breast. Seriously, the wheels on my rollaboards probable get as much use as the wheels on cars. Best regards, E. Burger, MHS, PhD, IBCLC
