I drink a lot of water, partially because I like water and partially because it helps when you are trying to lose weight. But, I still ended up in the er for what turned out to be dehydration. I was short on electrolytes and without enough electrolytes, it doesn't matter how much water you drink. It doesn't stop to hydrate your body, just runs right through you. So, they put me on supplements to solve that problem. I can't remember which of the supplements I am taking are electrolytes, so won't give you information I am not sure of. If you search for electrolytes online, you should get a list of about 6 of them or so. You might want to have your doctor do bloodwork too to determine if you are short of electrolytes.
