Guest guest
Trials and Tribulations ! Your situation reminds me a little of why I use inames in the first place. I can at least change ISP as often as I want and still get my mail. Hope things sort themselves out for you. Guest guest
Mike, Thanks for the compassion! I knew the service was going down the tubes, was just a question of when. Was lucky to get a new, good & CHEAP ISP. Only problem I'm having (except for having to change my e-address in gazillions of places, is trying to get Eudora to accept a change in primary account. Was able to add it with no problem, but making it the 'dominant " account is stalling on changing passwords. If this doesn't clear up, will just have to delete a line in the ini file (Eudora actually has tech support, & they have taught me many things). Main distraction right now is I have switched to Serzone, & took a large dose to see what side-effects I would have (very dumb idea), so I didn't sleep at all, had an asthma attack also, but I didn't seem to mind at all! Was quite happy anyway. Suspect I may be particularly sensitive to it, & may end up on smaller than usual dose. That would be a first for me (am officially medically classed as a non-responder) Ken
Guest guest
Ken, Good luck with the new ISP and the new med. I hope it helps. I too am giving it a whirl again and I'm up to the full dose that we've decided to try this time, 100mg twice a day. I moved up to that dose on Monday, almost a week ago now. Right now it's hard to tell if it's helping or not. I'm in ungodly pain and exhausted. The trip went OK and all was really OK until Wednesday evening. By Thursday evening I couldn't walk at all. J finished up his work at noon on Friday and we took an earlier flight home, which was murder on me but at least I knew I'd be able to sleep in my own bed that night. Well, sleep isn't exactly what's happening here, for me, due to the excessive pain. I'm hoping it will all calm down soon but meanwhile I'm doing zilch, zero, nada. If I can get my bad leg to cooperate a bit I'll feel better...should just be a matter of time and rest. Thankfully I have the pain meds and an wonderfully supportive hubby. Good luck with the med change, I hope it goes smoothly. Smoother than the ISP change anyway! That would be a first for me (am >officially medically classed as a non-responder) Hmmm.....I've been having difficulties with what I THOUGHT were allergies. I, thankfully, don't normally have allergy problems however I have had minor allergy problems in the past 12 years either in the Spring or Fall. It doesn't happen every year and it usually doesn't last long. The symptoms I get are a tightness in my chest, burning sensation when I breath, and this feeling like I have to cough something up. I haven't had ANY allergy symptoms for the past 4 years or so but two weeks ago they started up again. I tried Benadryl, which usually helps, but I was so sleepy I couldn't stand up! takes Allegra for his allergies (dust mites and some molds) when they kick up and told me that the Allegra has no side effects that he's noticed. I called my Dr. to ask if it was OK for me to use the Allegra for my allergies and the gal called back and said the doc OK'd it and if I wanted a 'script of my own for it she'd call one in. Now the two things that are making me wonder if this is from the Serzone are: usually with my allergies the symptoms go away if I stay in an air conditioned environment, but this time that doesn't seem to help a lot, but it does help some. Also, the symptoms didn't show up until I was on the Serzone for about two weeks. I suppose I should call the doc and speak directly to her to ask about this. We know already I'm sensitive to this drug, as I am to most..or I respond weirdly, and now your mention of the asthma has me wondering! I hope you're feeling better! I note that you too are going through some tough spots right now! Man, when it rains it pours for you, eh?? I hope you're feeling better soon. I've never had pneumonia or pluresy (sp?) but it sure sounds like you got a double-whammy with that one. As for the idiot Dr. in your ng, ignore him. That's truly the best thing to do. I know it's not easy, believe me I know, but giving him attention of any sort will only encourage him to continue posting. Let's hope he goes away, real soon now! Today's not starting out too good here for me, had a very difficult time sleeping, mostly because my pain level is so very high and partly, I think, from the new med. Gave up and got up several hours ago and turned the laptop on. I am SO thankful for having a laptop because at times I wouldn't be able to do a thing on my computer without it. put an outlet for our home network right here in the living room so that I can use the laptop from either the couch or my chair, or his big chair if I want (where I am at the moment). This way I can go online (the cable modem is on the network) or use any of the computing resources I want to play with, no matter where I plug the laptop in! Weather here is disgusting. Humid, hot, and overcast. I'm frankly sick of summer weather. We had an early Spring, after an easy Winter...very easy, and by now I'm really tired of it all and can't wait for the cooler weather, especially the Fall weather I love. We've had touches of it here and there but nothing REALLY Fall-like. Labor Day weekend up in the Adirondacks was nice because they're ahead of us, season-wise, and that was great. Still more email to browse through! CUL es gentle hugz!
