Guest guest
Dear colleagues, sources of small tablet and capsule makers. Copley instruments, Nottingham 0 (new machines) Skerman, Middlesex, 01932789646 (new and second hand) Casburt, Stoke on Trent 01782 332511 (second hand) Casburts gave me fascinating information on what happens if you buy a hand operated tablet press at auction(if you can beat down the shady characters at the back of the room who disappear as soon as the deal is struck). When you possess one of the splendid Manesty hand tablet presses, you will be regularly raided by the drug squad, and every time there is a drugs bust in your area your machine will be impounded for forensics. In any case, you would be burgled within weeks of purchasing your machine, and relieved of same, (presumably by other shadies from the auction) and poor old Mr Casburt, the Arthur Daley of used pharmaceutical machinery, has the plod on his doorstep all the time. When I mentioned my thoughts on a new empire in pure tablet making, my market colleagues practically fell on the floor laughing, before I even got to the bit about the drug squad. They said they thought I was probably under surveillance anyway! I got the pharmaceutical machinery addresses by using a friend with a pass for the Pharmaceutical Society helpline. Best wishes Jill , St Albans
