Guest guest
Indeed, this is true and there is enough research supporting removing sugar, yeasts, molds, allergens and simple carbs from the diet, starting with The Yeast Connection eons ago. The Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook has compelling information, as does Dr. Cousins' books. Balance in the gut flora is an imperative for good health. Trying to kill off yeast while feeding them is a vicious cycle and a waste of money IMHO. Re: diet, seeing a qualified naturopath or MD skilled at treating yeast overgrowth and overall health would be great! Re: grains - every yeast diet I have seen recommends removing gluten from the diet while treating yeast as it is so difficult to digest. Great quality probiotics as someone else mentioned. Hope she gets relief asap. This is a bear to deal with but leads to greater health and vitality in the long run. We were fortunate enough, as a young family, to be under the care of a skilled Homeopath who treated us for yeast overgrowth. Went from being sick all the time to being very very healthy, but it took attention to diet, probiotics and remedies to build our immune systems.
