Guest guest
You're aware I assume that Milk Thistle interferes with the levels of Kaletra and other PI's in the blood. ( Assuming of course that you are on PI's) milk thistle Quick query:What do you think is the best brand of milk thistle (standardized to silymarin or specific flavanolignan)? M. Guest guest
how does milk thistle interfere with Kaletra absorption?
Guest guest
I do not the exact science behind it, but my Doctor ( Julio Montaner ) tested my blood and drug levels in my blood throughout the day at three hour intervals for an entire 12 hour period. There was overwhelming evidence that after ingesting Milk Thistle the amount of Kaletra in my blood became ( to quote my Doctor here ) " Dangerously Low". He retested my blood again the same way without the Milk Thistle ( about a month later ) ( I had stopped the Milk Thistle for this entire period) The Kaletra was absorbed properly and showed normal and effective levels in my blood. Interesting enough, my T4's starting rising soon after I discontinued the Milk Thistle. Re: milk thistle how does milk thistle interfere with Kaletra absorption? All of this would be obsolete if everybody used natural products. ne
Guest guest
True, so true.............. you know they are trying to say how bad herbal remedies are. Even the herbal meds the pharmaceutical companies make have so much junk. My rheumatologist gave me this stuff Limbrel I asked about here 3 months ago. It seems like a great thing but they have to ruin it by adding dyes, gelatin and all sorts of junk. Why not mash the herbs together, put in a tablet and give it to me? If they think I'm taking it, they're nuts. I was there again on Monday and the guy is freaked at my pain and spasm and is really wanting me to get back on gangleon blocks. I was doing this a while back (before pregnancy, etc) and one day while sitting there with these gigantic q-tips up my nose I started to read my chart. When I read that they have cocaine in them I freaked out!!! I said something to the dr who said " minuscule amount, blah blah " needless to say I never did that again. Making me a drug addict or something eh? Marlie wants me to paint her nails. I got this all natural nail polish at WF it's formaldahyde and some other junk-free. Still stinks as far as I'm concerned........ > > > > How cool if the AMA would invest in natural stuff rather than poison > > we'd be healthier and those legal drug dealers could still make > > money. > > ...well, not nearly as much, because every drug they put on the market > causes side effects, and then there are other drugs to treat said side > effects, which leads to new ones that need to be treated with yet > other drugs...
