Thank you for this meaningful statement on Spring, religions, traditions. We

are so connected to the earth if we would stop to appreciate it's beauty.

Winter is gusting one of its last goodbye. Snow squall passing through. The

plants are greening under the warm sun and the extended light. Death and

loss are being left behind by the rebirth in nature, religions, and

traditions.

- Full Moon in Libra - Passover

--------------------

In honor of the Heliacal Rise of Venus today and the Libra Full Moon on

Saturday, here is a bonus send of the Celestial Timings. I am completing

an article about the Venus in Aries cycle that will appear on the

Articles page hopefully by Saturday.

April 7 marks the Libra Full Moon (18 Libra) and the beginning of

Passover. With the recent Heliacal Rise of Venus in Aries so close to

the Full Moon in Libra along with all the other remarkable Celestial

Timings occurring through out this year this Full Moon is a powerful

energy of resurrection and renewal. This Full Moon is near the fixed

star Spica, considered one of the truly great fixed stars, located in

the constellation of the Virgin Priestess and is seen as the ear of

wheat (or corn) she is holding in her left hand. This star reminds us

that, " as we sew, so shall we reap. " Spica is also connected with

Ishtar, the Queen of Heaven, whose symbol is the eight-pointed star of

manifestation. Ishtar is the Babylonian version of Inanna, their stories

are nearly identical.

The fixed star Arcturus in the constellation of the Herdsman is also on

the same zodiacal longitude as Spica and is linked with the energy of

this Full Moon. Arcturus is a sacred masculine energy viewed as the

protector of heaven, a protector of all, and a protector of the balance

between giving and receiving. This is a sacred union imagery, of

masculine and feminine, of giving and receiving, of heaven and earth, in

balanced, harmonious conscious equal partnership with all life.

The first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox determines the start of

Passover. Passover is an honoring of the mysteries of protection.

According to the ancient story the plague passed over those who

performed the ritual of protection. It was the final plague that won the

Jewish people their freedom from the Egyptians. April 8 is Palm Sunday

marking the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem riding upon the donkey or ass.

I found the following info on this web site

http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11432b.htm

In the five prayers which are then said the bishop or priest asks God to

bless the branches of palm or olive, that they may be a protection to

all places into which they may be brought, that the right hand of God

may expell all adversity, bless and protect all who dwell in them...Palm

branches have been used by all nations as an emblem of joy and victory

over enemies; in Christianity as a sign of victory over the flesh...

Also in the Christian tradition the first Sunday after the Full Moon

after Spring Equinox determines the celebration of Easter, celebrating

the resurrection of Jesus. These High Holy days in Spring are focused

around the mysteries of resurrection, renewal, freedom, protection and

ascension. The ancient earth-based religions also celebrate Spring as a

time of renewal, resurrection, protection and accelerated growth. There

are many ways to honor and celebrate this Timing. It is up to us to

discover the myths and stories and ways that inspire a deep personal

connection with the emerging mysteries of this and any other seasonal

energy.

The following Eight Pointed Star meditation was sent to me three or four

years ago appearing in the Full Moon information for the April Celestial

Timings in 1998. Today it suddenly surfaced while I was searching for

something else and I felt inspired to pass it along for those who

resonate with this imagery. This was a channeled piece that was

forwarded to me via email with no further information about where it

came from. May these great images inspire further imaginings of love and

healing for all life on on our beautiful Earth.

Eight Pointed Star Images

>From Arch-Angel

Visualize and imagine a new paradigm manifesting for all beings on

earth. Visualize the grid lines of the earth carrying a balanced energy

of sacred union, of masculine and feminine and of sexuality and

spirituality. Visualize an eight pointed star. See this star radiant

with the full spectrum of light, all the colors present in full,

vibrant, alive expression. You might see White-gold at its center, as it

radiates all the colors of the rainbow to its tips, like a prism of

light. This star represents the blending of the energies of soul and

form through the union of the cross of matter + with the cross of

spiritual consciousness X, thus forming eight points. The union of

spirit and matter, of feminine and masculine, Sacred Union.

While visualizing this star see the air filled with life force energy,

see the protective layer around the earth's atmosphere being restored,

and the oceans cleansed. See the soil being replenished with nutrients,

and the great forests of the world sustained and healthy. Visualize

enjoyment of the abundance of our co-created reality for the highest

good of all. See the rainbow light of this activated star reaching all

over the world, energizing the full spectrum of primordial life force,

emanating pure divine love and establishing Heaven on Earth with peace

and plenty for all life!

Blessed Be!

" On a cultural level, the Libra archetype extends the desire for

conscious equal partnership to a vision of community, akin to the

Arthurian round table, where representatives of all twelve mystery

schools, lineages, and archetypes sit together, as spokes of a wheel in

a circle, all in non-hierarchical acceptance and respect for all the

authentic expressions of the human journey. In this imagery, the figure

of Arthur the king fades away, being replaced by the Native American

talking stick, where, in democratic fashion, each of the twelve has

equal freedom to command the space and represent their views. " (from the

Shamanic Astrology Handbook that is unfortunately currently out of print

until further notice)
