Guest guest
Hi Jo Have you tried Astragalus? According to Mills & Boon it's specifically indicated as an adjunct for chemotherapy. Also how many people use mushrooms? A conspicuous absence in our materia medica! I know Hedley and Steve Kippax do, anyone else, and if so in what form? I've just ordered some Coriolus (Trametes) versicolor tablets from MRL for a patient undergoing radio/chemo for breast cancer, and I thought I'd try them with a 16 yo boy with M.E. of 18/12 duration following glandular fever - plus I gave my free sample of Cordyceps to the 79 yo gent with the emphysema. >Just a quick note to thank all of those who wrote back regarding Essiac. Having read your opinions, and passed that information onto my patient, we decided that it would be far better to treat her with a specific formula according to her own requirements. I have just given her a formula, and therefore don't know the results as yet. Up until now, had been treating her symptoms of G.I. pain, which she finds soothing and comforting. Fortunately, she has a very positive attitude and is keen to stick to a very cleansing and nutritious diet. She has decided to go through with the chemo - obviously I respect her choice. The formula is designed to support that process as well as detox gently, and includes some of our anti-carcinogenic herbs such as Trifolium, Tabebuia and Thuja. Will keep you updated. > >Enjoy a wet and grey bank holiday w/e. >Jo Dunbar You're not kidding - the hailstones are rattling the window as I sit here typing this. You can tell the cricket season has started! Cheers Graham White B.Sc. (Herb. Med.), MNIMH. Medical Herbalist -------------------------------------------------------------------- hendongreen@...
