" Well, it's the " opposite lateral " part that confuses me. What does the original have? The " g " in " g-photons " ought to be a Greek gamma, in my opinion. I asked my husband, a radiation oncologist, to rephrase it and here's what he wrote: Patients were treated with gamma photons produced by cobalt-60 through opposed lateral beams.
