Guest guest
As a matter of fact, Terry and I were just discussing last night how big his feet were. They have swollen so badly they're rolled on the bottom and he has problems balancing when he stands up. Nothing has changed and we can't figure out why he's swelling like this just all of a sudden like this. Sorry you're having the same problem. Terry says it's terribly uncomfortable. I hope we all get some answers soon. Hugs....... Diane C. from TN feet Do yall's feet ever swell? My feet look like two water balloons with five Vienna sausages sticking out like toes. Guest guest
When Ardis was very sick, I couldn't get her tennis shoes on her. The water seems to seek its own level. When she was in patient in the hospital, all the fluid shifted to her hips. They were patting themselves on the back about how they had gotten the fluid off of her, but I pointed out to them that it was in the hips. She ended up staying the whole week. long life, old age, everything good-Apache prayer feet Do yall's feet ever swell? Guest guest
Yes, for a year or more before my transplant, I couldn't get any of my shoes on except one pair of tennis shoes, which were stretched out so far there were no shoe laces left to tie. They were so swollen, they hurt. After my transplant, it was so nice to see the bones in my feet again and be able to put on all of my shoes, which some were even too big for me. I love my skinny feet since the transplant! LOL Penny > > Do yall's feet ever swell? Guest guest
Hi Everyone Its been a while since I;ve posted, however I have been keeping up with the posts and keeping everyoone in my prayers. Before my liver transplant I not only had a problem with my feet swelling, but also my ankles and thighs. The skin was so tight on my legs they looked almost glossy at times. They had me on diaretics & kept increasing the dose. Most of the time I wore slippers. It was a real struggle to get a pair of shoes on. Forget trying to tie them at least for an hour or so. Before my liver transplant on January 27, 2008, I did manage to lose a little weight, which helped but did not stop my legs & feet from hurting. I hope everyone's doctors can help find a way to help them with the excess fluid. Since my surgery I " ve only had to stay overnight in the hosital once. & that was in mid Sept. I had gone in on an outpatient basis to have an ERCP done, to remove the stint they had placed in my bile duct. (This was the third time). Had to stay overnight due to the reaction I had to the procedure. Reaction being stomach & pelvic cramps and the shakes so bad, it felt like the bed was shaking. (The doctors couldn't explain it other than some people have a reaction and others don't) Some explananation. Since then I have been feeling good and my numbers have been behaving themselves. Keep Smiling (My dads favorite saying when he was having a tough time & saw how hard it was on us). Bye for now. LOL Shirley
