Guest guest
Fire friends: I just watched Gore's speech over the internet and I am so moved by his graciousness in defeat and his perspective on the greater good that such a defeat will " shake the soul and wrest some gold. " We who live outside the US sometime watch in fear and trepidation as you tear at each other (or that's how it looks) during the OJ Simpson trial and the Lewinsky scandal for example. Yet something of an essence of wholeness always holds firm during these crises. I think Joe once talked about the US as a nation built upon ideals that could only live because the Father imago of the Old World had been left behind. It's a marvel to me that the democratic process can supercede the need for an authority with all the answers. What a great experiment to be a part of and how wonderful to witness that struggle here around our small fire. Thanks to everyone for their participation. I've learned a lot just sitting and listening. in the dance, Frances ===== Frances trimeter@... _______________________________________________________
