Guest guest
Bonsoir Nathalie, I haven't found anything helpful with " precuticular " but there are a few hits for " precuticle cells " and looking a little further, this led me to the anagen matrix of the hair follicle, more precisely in the bulb, which contains " matrix epithelial cells " , which in turn give rise to progenitor cells for the layers of the hair shaft. http://www.genesdev.org/cgi/content/full/20/10/1353 My thought was that " precuticular epithelium " might in some way refer to a stage before the formation of the cuticle??? On the other hand, maybe the authors are simply talking about the bulb? Do you have a diagram? bon courage!
