Guest guest Posted January 3, 2004 Report Share Posted January 3, 2004 well, it doesn't burn like that - not like fire. also, it's far less likely to " burn " adult skin - it's just that infant skin can be sensitive and sometimes it can irritate. all children don't seem to be bothered but enough do that if you don't know that your child isn't, it's a good idea to just coat with a bit of olive oil. with your husband though, he'll be fine also, you mentioned you had him lay down...whatever he's doing that he's *not* laying down, he should stop -- so frequently infections are our bodies telling us we need to stop. regardless, it's important to respect the work that the body does to heal itself by not heaping more stress on it when it's sick - he should lay down all day long, bored or not!
