Guest guest
Dear Fern, Here you go: ALFALFA - Very rich in minerals. Its roots grow as much as 130 feet into the earth. It contains biotin, calcium, choline, inositol, iron, magnesium, PABA, phosphorus, potassium, protein, sodium, sulfur, tryptophan (amino acid), and Vitamins A, B Complex, C, D, E, K, and U. The minerals are in a balanced form, that promotes absorption. It is high in chlorophyll and nutrients. Alfalfa alkalizes and detoxifies the body, especially the liver. Good for all colon disorders, anemia, hemorrhaging, diabetes, ulcers, arthritis and high blood pressure. Promotes pituitary gland function. Contains an anti-fungus agent. AVOCADO - Contains monounsaturated fat. Benefits arteries. Contains potassium, more than any other fruit or vegetable, that reduces high blood pressure. Contains all the B vitamins, but are particularly high in folic acid. CAYENNE (Capsicum fastigiatium) - The berry of the capsicum plant; contains healing capsaicin. Cayenne is a medicinal and nutritional herb and the purest and most certain stimulant. It's a great food for the circulatory system in that it feeds the necessary elements into the cell structure of arteries, veins and capillaries so that they regain the elasticity of youth and blood pressure returns to normal. Cayenne rebuilds the tissue in the stomach and heals stomach and intestinal ulcers. Cayenne equalizes the blood circulation and produces natural warmth, stimulates the peristaltic motion of the intestines and aids in assimilation and elimination. When the venous structure becomes loaded with sticky mucus, the blood has a harder time circulating and higher pressure is needed to force it through. Cayenne regulates the flow of blood from the head to the feet so that it is equalized and influences the heart immediately. The effects are gradually extended to the arteries, capillaries and nerves (the pulse is not increased but is given more power). Take two cayenne capsules immediately before eating two or three times a day, or mix 1/4 tsp. in 1 cup of boiled water; drink after meals. GARLIC - " The food that prevents disease! " It contains " allicin " a natural antibiotic not found in the whole uncrushed or uncut bulb, it is a by-product of a chemical reaction. When garlic is cut or crushed you break through the cell walls releasing an amino compound called alliin and an enzyme called allinase, the most abundant protein in garlic cloves. When the two mix, they transform into allicin. Allicin is the main sulfur compound associated with health benefits. Amount to consume for health benefits: A daily dose is equivalent to 4 grams of fresh garlic cloves, which is about the size of one average clove of garlic. Among other benefits it prevents blood clots, improves circulation, lowers high blood pressure and reduces plaque in the blood. CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM supplements and/or foods. Eating magnesium-rich foods lowers blood pressure according to a recent Harvard study. Sources: leafy greens, apples, oranges, prunes, grapes, carrots and spinach. It is important to balance calcium and magnesium intake. POTASSIUM lowers high blood pressure. Taking 2,500 mgs a day can significantly reduce blood pressure according to a report from former s Hopkins University researcher K. Whelton, M.D. Avocado is high in potassium, more than any other fruit or vegetable, and potassium reduces blood pressure. Avocado contains " good fats " as well. Let me know what you think and how it goes. Guest guest
Thanks Bee! Great info. I've been making a mixture similar to Dr. Schulze's Superfood to make into a morning drink, and I've included alfalfa in that. She's on calcium, magnesium, and potassium. She doesn't eat much avocado, though, so we should try that. For awhile she was taking cayenne and garlic, but we should try those again also. I also make Dr. Schulze's Super Tonic, which she doesn't like at all. I wish she did, as the ingredients (fresh garlic, cayenne, onions, horseradish, and ginger blended together with apple cider vinegar) would be beneficial for her. Thanks for all the detailed info about how each one helps what. Fern Re: high blood pressure; natural help > Dear Fern, > Here you go: > > ALFALFA - Very rich in minerals. Guest guest
Dear Fern, You are very welcome for the information. I'm glad you can find some things she might be willing to try. What is in your Superfood mixture? Sounds interesting. Cheers, Bee --- In , " Fern " <readnwrite@f...> wrote: > Thanks Bee! Great info. Guest guest
Hi Bee, The Superfood consists of: 1 part Alfalfa leaf powder 1 part Astragalus root powder 1 part Barley grass powder 1 part Chlorella powder 1 part Dulse granules 1 part Beet root powder 1 part Lemon peel powder 1 part Orange peel powder 1 part Rosehips powder 1 part Spinach powder 1 part Spirulina powder 1 part What grass powder 2 parts Nutritional Yeast A " part " is a volume measurement, not a weight measurement. Mix everything together and store in an airtight container. I then use 2 T each morning. I use a hand blender to mix it together with 1 or 2 raw eggs, yogurt, frozen fruit, water, Cod liver oil, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and a sprinkle or two of Stevia. I sometimes also add some coconut oil or peanut butter. I've also added into the Superfood formula some nettle powder and licorice powder. You can of course add or omit any of the ingredients or increase or decrease amounts of each ingredient to address any health issues. The first batch I made I muscle tested weak for, then muscle tested each ingredient and found out I needed to remove the alfalfa, barley, and wheat grass powders in my next batch. Now, after a mercury detox, I'm able to incorporate those into the formula again without any problems. I order all the ingredients from herbalcom.com, except for the nutritional yeast, which I get from bulkfoods.com. It makes a great morning drink. That's my breakfast, along with a hot cup of tea, yerba mate, or coffee. Since drinking the Superfood each morning my energy and sense of well-being has increased significantly. I wouldn't want to be without it. Fern Re: high blood pressure; natural help > Dear Fern, > You are very welcome for the information. I'm glad you can find some > things she might be willing to try. Guest guest
Hi Fern, Thank you too for your Superfood Recipe. That sounds like a great combination. I have muscle tested things too before I include them as supplements or in my diet. That's great how you worked out the right formula and that detoxing allowed you to add alfalfa, etc. You were thorough too which I really appreciate. Again, thanks. Bee > > > Thanks Bee! Great info.
