Guest guest
Does anyone know of a recipe for doing bread in a bread machine? I don't mind using a little yeast if I have to, but I'd like to be able to presoak my homeground grains.
Guest guest
I love my bread machine and use it several times a week (it's a black and decker). But...I'm thrifty. I personally would never spend $200 on a bread maker when you can go down to just about any thrift shop and get one for $10 or less. Many of them have only been used a couple of times, if that. Just make sure it has its paddle. If you can find one with a book/manual, even better! On 1/31/08, <carrieeclark@...> wrote: > > Anyone have a bread mahine that they just LOVE? Guest guest
I have a couple. A DAK that my partner bought at the thrift store for about $20.00 which works well and a ToastMaster I bought new on closeout because it makes jam. They also have a ToastMaster model that will make butter but that is easy so I would not be interested in that. I have had several others from the thrift store that we took back because they did not work. I have not found any model that bakes bread the way I like it so after I have 'fermented the flour' in sour milk, I will let the breadmaker do most of the kneading work then do the final knead myself and bake it in the oven. I usually make enough for two loves at a time. June
Guest guest
, The Zo is the top of the line bread maker, and it works great. It has a rectangular loaf, too. But like other bread machines, the bucket is coated with anodized (sp?) non stick coating. The Zo is considered the best maker for using 100% whole wheat.
