Guest guest
OH, Penny, I am so glad to hear that you are finally home. It is so encouraging to know you and Aimee, and to see that you both got a liver. I hope you get well soon, and all of this being sick can be in your past, even though you have to take medicine. I made a little happy liver day party on my blog for you. I hope you don't mind. Aimee's daughter called her party for her transplant her " happy libber day " , so I made you a little picture(like a card). http://billybobswildride.blogspot.com/2008/01/happy-libber-day-penny.html Good luck, and I hope you will stay in our group, but I hope you live out all your dreams. Bobby. I am back home Hi Everybody! I came home from the hospital on Wednesday, January 16, and I am feeling better and stronger every day. A visiting nurse came to see me this morning to check on me and said I am doing very well medically and with the medication and she will report to my post transplant coordinator that I am doing all the right things and don't need a visiting nurse to come by to check on me anymore. I ate more today than I have in a very long time. I don't have any pain to speak of except in my back from laying in the uncomfortable hospital bed for so long and stretching my muscles now that I'm home. My dad brought my grandpa's cane over for me today because my legs aren't strong enough to step up a couple of steps into the house when I go out to the lab. I can walk fine on the flat ground. My husband and brother brought our tread mill up from the basement so I can walk on it slowly to get my legs stronger. In the hospital we took long walks all over the hospital, but it is freezing cold here in Wisconsin and I can't get my walking in at home without the tread mill. Guest guest
I'm so glad you're doing so well, Penny. That's a relief to hear. I know how it is in Wisconsin right now, for I live right next door in Minnesota. Remember to take little itty bitty baby steps on the ice. What hospital did you have your transplant at?
