Guest guest
Ok folks, here is a twighlight zone mystery for you ... My daughter was grossed out the other day by finding a strange lump on some ice from our icemaker. I figured something had dropped onto the ice from the freezer. Well, today I saw something hanging out the ice chute, and I put it under a magnifier ... it was kind of fragile and gellike, like a slug, but when I looked at it under magnification, it looked a whole lot like a baby fish. Eyes, tail, the whole bit. OK, I would write this off to an urban legend, except it happened to ME, and not under the influence of anything but green tea. Now our water IS well water, but it goes through a Culligan system to soften it, which I guess doesn't filter it. Any of you folks with well water have any ideas? Salamander eggs maybe? The well is capped with concrete and a big pump, it's not open at all. -- Heidi
