Dear Sheila,

Soak the pig kidneys in enough water to cover along with 2

tablespoons of salt overnight. Even if they are not soaked I don't

believe there is a pee taste, but they sure can smell while cooking

if they are not soaked. LOL!

I love kidneys, fried with bacon - yummy! I also like them in steak and

kidney pie.

I would say that they really don't taste of pee when fried, and I wouldn't

bother to soak if one is going to cook them that way. However, they DO taste a

bit pee-like in the S & K pies that I've sampled.

Cheers,

, and Sheba (who like their kidneys RAW!)

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question about soaking the pork

kidneys. Now I feel educated enough to give them a try.
