Guest guest
Dear Wanita, That's really funny. Ha ha ha. I guess you can get a lot of the pee out by soaking them overnight in salt water, which would lessen the smell while boiling. Bee > Bee, > > Likely for English dishes like steak and kidney pie. Guest guest
Hi Wanita, Funny story! Thanks for starting my day with a chuckle. I have some pork kidneys which I got the day the pig was slaughtered. I removed the outer casing and froze them right away. Will they be okay to eat if I defrost and them and then soak them in salt water? How long should I soak them to get rid of the pee taste? Yuk! TIA, Sheila > Bee, > > Likely for English dishes like steak and kidney pie. Dad used to tell > Mrs.Shaw laughing " Here you go Rose, boil the pee out of them. Guest guest
Dear Bee, Am sure she soaked them for her dishes. Dad was teasing. Almost remember she had a lot of cats and would feed some kidney to them too. She may have got more from him from the slaughterhouse other than the ones we raised for maybe raw feeding her cats. Cats were real healthy and prolific. Wanita > Dear Wanita, > That's really funny. Ha ha ha.
