Guest guest
These are recommendations from the coconut oil list from someone who reduced their Hep C viral load to where the doctor advised no treatment, retesting 6 months later. Eliminate alcohol, hydrogenated oils, use coconut oil. Eat only grassfed, antibiotic, hormone free meat. 100 mg. alpha lipoic acid 2X day, olive leaf 2 caps 2X day. 2 caps raw liver day. Liver flush, 2 days warm water, lemon, and tomato juice as you like , no cooked food.2nd night drink 3 oz. olive oil,2oz.castor oil. 3 oz.whipped cream, Should get putrid stool and stones from that. Drink tomato juice, eat light next day. Castor oil compresses to liver area 2 X day. After low viral load test she went to alpha lipoic acid 1 X day, olive leaf 2 caps 1X day, Continued raw liver 2 caps 2X day. Castor oil compresses 3X week. I'll definitely recommend the book when he comes in the store next time. (I used the protocol for CFS very successfully, and am a big fan of GOF products). Guest guest
Thanks so much Wanita! I have a few questions about some of the recommendations you listed... >2 caps raw liver day. Is this a certain brand? We have raw liver capsules at our store, but I wonder if there are more effective brands out there? Or if just eating raw grassfed liver would be better? (Not that I'm sure that would go over well with the average consumer!) Liver flush, 2 days warm > water, lemon, and tomato juice as you like , Are these mixed into one drink, or drank separately? < Drink tomato juice, eat light next day. Freshly juiced? I'm thinking V8 is probably not what you mean... Castor oil > compresses to liver area 2 X day. How do you make a castor oil compress? How long do you leave it on? Thanks again for the info, and sorry for all the questions!
Guest guest
, Unfortunately, there's no other details other than what I posted which was the instructions she gave. The list it came from moderates every post and removes e mail addresses otherwise I'd refer you to the poster for your questions. With that best I can interpret is grassfed liver should be fine. If squeamish raw liver capsules at your store should do. Somewhere was mentioned there are Argentinian beef liver capsules on the market. Argentina has an awesome reputation in beef quality. Liver flush juice, your guess as good as mine. Tomato juice fresh would be best. This time of year tomatoes are terrible here. An organic bottled would do it seems. Castor oil compress http://www.holisticmed.com/detox/dtx-liver.txt ii. Castor oil compress ------------------- A castor oil compress is usually performed every other day during the Liver Flush regimen. It is helpful in encouraging the liver to dump excess fats. Soak a piece of wool or flannel (or a baby's cotton diaper) in castor oil. Ring out the cloth so that it doesn't drip. Place over the liver area (on the right side, just under the ribcage). place a hot water bottle (purchase from a drug store), not an electric heating pad over the cloth. Then place a towel over the hot water bottle. Leave on for 1.5 hours, replacing the water when necessary so that the area is kept hot (but not too hot to stand). After removing the compress, spend 5 to 10 minutes rubbing small amounts of virgin olive oil into the liver area. Here's Edgar Cayce's instructions too. One I'm more familiar with for castor oil compresses. Somewhere between the two times maybe. http://www.springboard4health.com/notebook/health_cleansing_skin.html Castor Oil Compresses This is an old Edgar Cayce remedy. The compresses are particularly useful when applied to areas of pain where tumors might be breaking down. Soak a washcloth or similar cloth in castor oil which has been slightly warmed in a pan. Be careful not to overheat the oil. Apply the cloth to tumors, areas of pain, and areas of in ammation. Keep the compress in place for 20-30 minutes. The castor oil poultices are not harmful and can be used as often as relief is needed. Let us know how he does. Wanita > Thanks so much Wanita! It wasn't what I'd call " delectible " but it was edible, and a darn sight cheaper than dessicated liver in pill form. I suspect with the right spices it might even be tasty, like liverwurst. -- Heidi
Guest guest
In my area (Puget Sound Area) there is actually a Naturopath that specializes in healing Hep C. But it is with high doses of minerals and vitamins via IV. Perhaps he could interview the Natropaths in his area and see what they have to say. Hep C is pretty serious, I'd be careful giving anything more than some advice on where he can look for treatment. I wouldn't give him a healing protocol. Besides...IMO...most of those supplements and herbs in pills aren't too effective for major stuff. I found making my own herbal tinctures much more powerful. K Supplements for Hepatitis C There are so many knowledgable people on this list that it was the first place I thought to look for help. A man came into the HFS where I work yesterday because he has Hep. C, and heard that people had healed it with nuritional supplements. While lots of ideas came to mind, I told him that with such a serious illness (and me not having any medical training), I would need to research before I gave any recommendations for a healing protocol. The two things I DID send him away with in the meantime, were kombucha (for the glucaronic acid to aid his liver in its job of detox), and coconut oil (anti-viral fats that are easy to digest and shouldn't tax the liver... Dr. told him to avoid some fats because they would be hard on liver...), So I'm thinking any healing program would have to be 3 pronged: 1. eat healthier diet ala NT 2. Take supplements to support liver 3. Take supplements that kill, or aid the body in killing, viruses. I'm thinking of recommending Jordan Rubin's " Patient Heal Thyself " , but our store is currently out of copies. Does anyone on the list know if there is any mention of viral diseases like Hep. C in the book, or if there is a protocol for similar diseases? Another idea is The Milk Cure. If it can cure TB, perhaps it would be good for Hep. C? Any suggestions would be wonderful... I would start with Dr. Schulze's 5 day cleanse and detox. It involves a combination of fasting and raw foods and utilizes various herbs and his own liver flush. You can find his protocol here: http://www.curezone.com/schulze/default.asp One thing I would do is replace a portion of the olive oil in the liver flush with coconut oil, perhaps half and half. Coconut oil is excellent for reducing viral loads in the body: http://www.coconut-info.com/aids.htm I have used his protocol quite a bit over the years and his herbal products, IMO, are excellent. But he should ignore Dr. Schulze's dietary advice. 2. I would then do the Milk Cure which can be found here: http://www.realmilk.com/milkcure.html There is a little more to it than what the article states but it is a good place to begin. 3. After that he should adopt any good NT compatible diet and be rather strict about it. High quality grass fed meats, lots of liver, high quality cultured milks, coconut oil, etc. I don't have any personal experience with Rubin's program but I understand it is pretty good. The man I was talking about has come back into the store, and is still exploring his options concerning the info I have given him (thanks everybody who contributed!). I told him to drink kombucha the first time he came in, and he told me that he loves it, and feels a significant increase in his energy from drinking it. He's going to get some coconut oil next. I think he's new to the " alternative " ways of healing and eating, so he's working his way in gradually. He told me he has a little girl, and has to make sure he stays alive to see her grow up... (sometimes working at a HFS is gut wrenching...)
