Guest guest
Hi Everybody! I came home from the hospital on Wednesday, January 16, and I am feeling better and stronger every day. A visiting nurse came to see me this morning to check on me and said I am doing very well medically and with the medication and she will report to my post transplant coordinator that I am doing all the right things and don't need a visiting nurse to come by to check on me anymore. I ate more today than I have in a very long time. I don't have any pain to speak of except in my back from laying in the uncomfortable hospital bed for so long and stretching my muscles now that I'm home. My dad brought my grandpa's cane over for me today because my legs aren't strong enough to step up a couple of steps into the house when I go out to the lab. I can walk fine on the flat ground. My husband and brother brought our tread mill up from the basement so I can walk on it slowly to get my legs stronger. In the hospital we took long walks all over the hospital, but it is freezing cold here in Wisconsin and I can't get my walking in at home without the tread mill.
