With salt. " Beef, it's what's for dinner " Heidi (snarfing up a batch of spicy grass-fed jerky, whose ancestors once followed large herds of herbivores and ate them a lot, albeit NOT with such a Souvignon as I am now devouring with the jerky ...) PS. I do have a water smoker and it is great. There is nothing to compare with jerky and rare steak, however. It makes me wonder about all my recipe books ... most of them are for 1001 ways to prepare grains. However, once I got a good source of beef, all I really want to eat is steak, jerky, and potatoes and fresh greens. And soup and wine.
