Hello everyone,

if anyone has heard anything about this problem, a friend of mine has had her

period nonstop for the past 3 years at least. At that time, doctors told her not

to worry about it and that her cycles would even out eventually. she's 21 now.

she has an appointment with a gyno and made up this list to show her, and sent

it to me to try to do some detective work. thanks again for ANY insights. oh,

she eats an entirely sad diet and no red meat.

Background info:1.chronic headaches cause and cure unknown, big episode when I

was 9, 19912.first period when I was 12, 19943.chronic headaches cause and cure

was young and it would regulate eventually. Prescribed nothing because I wasn't

having or planning to have sex.6. still 2x a month by the time I went to

college, Sept 2000 had daily spotting, with regular 1 week period once a month7.

saw doctor at PSU, whatever we tried (progesterone and something else) it didn't

work8. Summer 2001 saw another doctor in town, got ultrasound, ovaries and

uterus fine. tried birth control, painful cramps after 2 weeks on it I got my

full period on the white pill not the sugar one. continued spotting again...

stopped b.c. after two months9. Family physician prescribed Naproxen Sodium for

pain, used it for first 2 days of heavy periods until prescription ran out,
