Guest guest
So I am wondering I haven't had many follow up visits where I am checking lots of weights. With the struggles my sister is having I am hoping occasionally the infant is feeding better than what I saw this evening. PTP of course. The infant has a tight labial frenulum and can't flange upper lip. I saw very little breast compression from infant but did hear a few swallows. When infant would come off her nipple was pinched with a white crease. She had some nipple soreness but it's getting better. I just can't believe infant is feeding so poorly all the time. Of course we tried multiple positions and latching infant deeper but nothing really seemed to work during this feeding. She eventually pumped and fed the expressed milk in a bottle. I left my scale with my sister so she could do pre and posts weights if she wanted. I am hoping to find a good ENT tomorrow to evaluate her.I am trying to be optimistic without being in denial about how the breastfeeding is going. Karman Romero IBCLC www.babysbreaststart@...
