" Oh! I'm sure that can't be good then, because if there

were anything beneficial in our urine, our bodies would

not have got rid of it in the first place, but kept it. "

-----> " apparently, that's not so. urine therapy has been successfully used

in

humans and animals alike. my ND has been using it on himself for some time,

originally to treat his Lymes disease. he reports that it's worked for him.

it also turned around the health of the ND who wrote the urine therapy book

I mentioned, to name a few. "

I have to echo this, I think Sue's response, I'm sorry I didn't paste the

name too. I had heard about urine therapy as an old hippie remedy for

athlete's foot, which my husband suffered terribly from. He did find some

relief by peeing on his feet every morning in the shower. Then I told this

to a friend struggling with athlete's foot, and *she* told me about her

renter who had some book on urine therapy, as in drinking urine, and yes,

your own.

We took this information back to our naturopath, a little jokingly, since

our maturity level around here counts scatalogical jokes as high humor, and

he said that he himself used urine therapy at times. In this case, he cited

the example of if he ever has a sore that seems to take a long time to heal,

he will urinate (a small amount obviously) onto a bandage and affix this to

the wound. After a period of time, yes it might emanate a smell, so he will

change the bandage with a " fresh " one--he said there are many natural

antibacterial agents in urine, and that in this context it is very healing.

And free, I might add.

Also seems there are some poisonous fish or coral that the pain from

touching can be alleviated by urination?

Additionally, according to a past web search I did, consumption of ones own

urine may have health benefits to confer. I don't know anymore about it,

but think of all those shampoos and especially cosmetics, lotions, facial

washes that list *urea* and *uric acid* as an ingredient!

Cheers, Leann

PS I know some very important discussions on the list are going on in

threads dealing with government milk and healthcare and money, but this

thread is more my speed! ;0) LOL
