Guest guest
Hi, I went to the liver institute today. My kidney's have them very worried. They couldn't give me my meld score today (Three weeks ago it was 19.) because they wanted to run some blood tests, but they did tell me that it was in the 20's. I have been " on hold " on the transplant list until I have seen a phycriatrist (sp?), but the doctor will present my records to the board again on Thursday after he speaks to the kidney doctor. He said to have my cell phone fully charged on Friday. I should hear what my meld is on Wednesday or Thursday. Just wanted to let you know. Lyncia From: abijann <no_reply > Subject: Chief To: livercirrhosissupport Date: Monday, September 29, 2008, 3:53 PM I hope everything goes well with your paracentesis procedure. Don't know what people would do without that when they have cirrhosis... it is like the only relief from discomfort they can get. I have had a bad cold...bordering on pneumonia. Now, my husband has come down with the starting of a cold and it truly scares me as I could not prevent it. They say the best time to get a cold is before someone shows any symptoms of it. That is when it has entered and just starting to build up in the body. Even with all my precautions and hardly ever having straight on contact with people except in the grocery store...I still got it. Shows that you cannot prevent things from occurring. Will let you know how my husband does...hope he doesn't end up in the hospital..never will forgive myself if he does.

Guest guest
Hi Lyncia, I am praying the call on Friday will say that you have been moved up on the list and are active. I pray your transplant comes very soon and that they can get your kidneys at the same time. If you need something more specific, please let us know. I like to pray very specifically. Love and hugs............ Guest guest
Lyncia, Just wanted you to know I'm praying they list you and get the call on Friday. Why is it taking them so long to get you scheduled with a psychiatrist? Well, I hope they can forego that being that your kidneys are in bad shape. Guest guest
Thanks so much. The phychiatrist must be the busiest doctor here......You know Texas and all its changes. We had a cold front today that lasted two minutes. Guest guest
Hi, Lyncia. I haven't had a chance to chime in, but I do hope you get on the list pronto, and I am going to do a threeway prayer for livers starting tonight , Annika, and you. Please, any of our members who happen to be of faith, put a prayer in for that little girl from Illinois. She was born with bilary atresia, and has had to fight since birth. She's a funny little gal, and reading her mom's blog keeps me in stitches. I hope tonight every one is doing as well as can be, and Abijann, it is really good to hear from you. I hope you beat these colds. Guest guest
Hi Lyncia. I hope you get put up high on the list and get the transplant you need. Abijann, we all miss you and your incredible knowledge. Take care of that cold and I hope your husband doesn't get it. I've been having a cold that's been kicking my butt too, but it is better now, although not completely gone yet. My immune system is minimally suppressed right now, so that helped me to not get as sick as I was affraid of getting. Take care.
