Guest guest
I just had my appointment with the doctor moved to February 8 from January 18 and that was put off from December 6. This is the county system since my doctor “fired” me. I’m wondering how important it is to get started finding out what we need to know to treat my cirrhosis. I’ve had a biopsy, was told by the doctor that there was no treatment, no medicine . . . before he fired me. Then the county system wanted more tests so there was an ultra sound performed early in December. I know not “where I stand” in the scheme of things. How important is it that some kind of evaluation take place ASAP? I am not one to rant and rave and insist on being put ahead of anybody, but it seems to me this is something akin to a runaround. Should I DO something? No insurance, just Medicare. I’m feeling OK now except for massive overpowering fatigue and such . . . Old Wherever there is a human being there is an opportunity for kindness. Guest guest
Here I am at sixes and sevens about it! I use the county health system and have only Medicare. I just don't have any CLOUT! Still I'm thinking that just maybe my change in diet might have something to do with relief. Maybe the fatigue is from the long episode. Just don't know. Vote KUCINICH The only candidate who CAN run on his RECORD! The only candidate in favor of liberty for ALL. Re: QUESTION of timing dont let them put you off any longer. Be Pushy, you have a need to know what shape youre in and what can be done especially with all your other health problems. Even tho my labs and sonogram were good on my last visit, my gastro wants to see me every 3 or 4 months and this is pretty routine for patients with cirrhosis because changes can occur at anytime with this disease. Im praying for your fatique, because that is just so darn hard to fight. Mine has not returned with the severity I was having a few months back, but it still overtakes me now and then. God Bless, Debra > > I hate getting the runaround. I went to the ER last Feb. Shortness of breath, fever of 103 for 8 days in a row. One of the xrays showed an abnormality, and the radiologist suggested " clinical correlation'. I made an appointment to get a " clinical correlation " . Even though Sharon and I live in the US and NOT Canada, the appointment took 7 months. At that appointment, which they tried to cancel and rebook, but I told the lady I was already on the handicap bus, and on my way to the hospital, so she juggled around some people, and squeezed me in...at that appointment they found me to have hepatopulmonary syndrome. My persistence, and stubbornness paid off. > > QUESTION of timing > > > I just had my appointment with the doctor moved to February 8 from > January > 18 and that was put off from December 6. > > This is the county system since my doctor " fired " me. > > I'm wondering how important it is to get started finding out what we > need to > know to treat my cirrhosis.
