I couldn't tell a difference on any of my PMS symptoms but swollen tender breasts weren't an issue then. That was 6 years ago and at the time I didn't know a thing about NT, was still eating soy and vegetarain so who knows what effect it really was having. One concern I've had with progestrone is the tendency to build in one's system. My mother had this problem after using it for awhile and needed to go off it. I've just left it alone but think I will give it a second chance. I just get nervous adding with hormonal stuff as I've had a bunch of problems in the past and solved most of them now. Only hormonal problem now is this past 2 year development of boobs to-die-for that turn on me once a month! I'm not working with Dr. Ron yet but he's high on my list as a possibility. Actually it been following some of your e-mails on his work with you that put him high on my radar. I need to call and see if he'll work long distance with me as I'm in Atlanta. I believe he put you on indole. Are you still using it and do you feel it's made a difference or do you think the progesterone cream has been the real help? > it's also a good idea to reduce your xeno hormone load - and reduce those > already accumulated. -----> Oh yeah! My husband does air pollution work so we know all the invisible little stuff that can getcha out there! Since we're in one of the worst polluted cities we filter all our indoor air and air in our cars. I keep a quiet filter going in my classroom. We've reduced the load in our house, water and food supply as much as I know how with tight product investigations before we do any purchases. Expensive time-consuming pain the neck but worth it! Thanks for your help! Lynn

I plan to only do it for 3 months, then gauge my symptoms thereafter. you should talk to terry on the chapter leader list - she got me started on it. she recommended a much smaller dose than i'm taking, but after reading the john lee book, I decide to take their recommended dose because of what they (lee et all) wrote about MORE estrogen building up *initially* and that you have to get past that stage to reap the benefits of progesterone cream. I don't remember exactly what they wrote about this and my book is on loan to my dog sitter, so I can't look it up right now. >>>>I'm not working with Dr. Ron yet but he's high on my list as a possibility. Are you still using it and do you feel it's made a difference or do you think the progesterone cream has been the real help? ---->I just stopped recently due to the expense. that stuff is expensive and I realized I couldn't continue with it. I took it for about 2 months and can't say I noticed any effect. but I *definitely* noticed an effect from the progesterone cream. however, since i'm on a number of supplements now, it's possible that some of the other ones that I had been taking before the progesterone cream were just beginning to have an effect. nonetheless, I suspect it's the progesterone cream that has really affected my PMS symptoms. one thing to note, it's important to get truly *natural* progesterone cream and it seems according to dr. lee et al, even though labels may state progesterone cream is natural, it may not be. Guest guest
I've got a bottle of the vitE/progesterone drops that Ray Peat recommends. Somewhere I heard he did the orginal research on progesterone that Lee used. DOn't know if that's really true or not. How long aftering starting before you noticed something? Do you know anything about the vitE/progesterone drops that you rub into your gums? That's what Peat recomends. I believe Peat says it can change things rather quickly which is why I've been leary of using it. I think expense is what kept me from ordering the indole and trying it. I'm already on some mighty expensive supplements LOL. Supplements and food take the biggest bit out of our budget!
