Most of the time, just pulling out the gun will prevent an attack. ------->even a fake gun! LOL! when i drove a cab in philly many years ago, i witnessed a fellow cab driver being attacked. his cab was stopped in the middle of the street and the attacker was in the front seat apparently trying to stab the cabby with a huge long instrument that looked like a giant screw driver. i called in a code 3 (emergency) on my radio, then grabbed my pepper spray gun, which was metal and looked just like a real gun. the only way you could tell it wasn't real was by looking directly down the barrell because there was a bar inside the tip of the barrell. i shoved it in my waistband, covered it with my jacket and hopped out of my cab. then i went over to the passenger side window, lifted up my jacket to show the attacker my gun and said " if you move i'll shoot you. " and guess what? he didn't move. several minutes later the police came, put a (real) gun to his head and extracted him from the cab. now, if he had had a gun...i'm sure i wouldn't have done that. especially not with my fake gun!
