Perhaps I had misunderstood, but I thought she was saying that it should be

taken as a given that one should send posts in a way that is not torturous to

folks on digest, and she was surprised to see that idea questioned.

I'm not on digest, but to send a post that quotes 10 pages of previously

quoted emails is flagrant disregard for people who are, and is simply rude-- not

to mention unnecessary.
