Guest guest
One of the lists I help moderate had a aspartame debate heat up. What little research I've done has led me to believe it is indeed dangerous and I've tried to get my mother off of it to no avail. Anyhow, I was reading that Methanol that breaks down into formaldehyde in heat is stored in fat cells in the hips/thigh area where I have the worst problem with my weight. I am losing weight wonderfully all over except there which seems to be virtually immune. For example in one month I lost 7 inches in my waist and only 2 in my hips which need to lose the most. I am finally feeling up to exercising but I worry that if my body is using the fat to keep the toxins from overloading my system that it either won't work or I will get sick. So, thoughts on this? I believe someone first turned me onto the fat storing toxins to protect the body on the Native Nutrition List so I thought you all might have some ideas and opinions. On Dr. Mercola's website he mentions an " antidote for formaldehyde " , ethanol. Is this something a " natural " doctor should be able to help with, you think? I found little on the Weston A Price Foundation website. I know part of the problem for me is insulin resistance caused by corn- syrup intake and before that nutrasweet. I consumed disgusting amounts of both growing up, starting with artificial sweeteners from age 2 to 15, then I switched to corn syrup sodas but of course I was probably consuming corn syrup in all the processed foods my family ate from birth.
