Guest guest
Dear , Apologies, have just come across my Anglo-Saxon dictionary, looking up something for Marco. The AS root is hal (with a line over the 'a') and over 50 AS words are given with this general meaning. It seems healing was also linguistically connected with prayer and exorcism. Hal itself is given as hale, whole, entire, uninjured, healthy, well, sound, safe, genuine and straightforward, which seems plain enough. Best wishes,
