Guest guest
HI all; I have a question; How long does it take for the average doctor to listen to your requests for things such as an MRI ?? I'm wondering this because I can't seem to get an MRI, no matter how long I ask for it. Litteraly YEARS of asking now. I had one done in 1991 I think, but I don't know how much they looked at then, I do know one thing, and only because it coincided with where the pain was at that time. In 1991 they found a buldging disc, they told me before I left and said that my dotor would be in touch as soon as he recievd the report. I got tired of waiting and asked my doctor about this test, but there was no mention of the bulging disc.. So, I have been fighting for over 6 years to get new MRI, just to re look the situation over. Especially since the pain has gotton much worse in those years. Then in 1993 after much arguments with my doctor, I finally got comparison x-rays. I got them, but only after I told him I'd never mention it again, if nothing was found. That was when they found two vertabra and a discs from the lumbar region, absolutly gone and the natural fusion had already happened leaving nerves traped. My doc's way of telling me was with a phone call " come into the office please, I have a big piece of crow to eat, and I thought you may wanta watch. " or something similar. But I haven't had much in the way of definitive testing, since 1993. I'm now going in for a bone scan, this was also done " under duress " as my daughter would not get out of his face, if he didn't . ) The date is for the 16th of November.. Anybody that has had a bone scan PLEASE give me some infomation, on your experience with it. ) I've been told from the hospital that I go in at 9:am do something (??) then leave to return in two and a half hours.. to have more tests ???
