Guest guest
Much thanks to Karina, Sue, and Sharon. I do know what voie basse is, but i'd never seen voie haute (i do much more OB than Gyn, and you don't describe cesareans as voie haute, usually:-) this is, as i said, a form for taking a history before a hysteroscopic procedure, and illegible besides, because of the layout. i don't think i need to specify laparoscopic or laporotomic -- abdominal will do. much thanks. and if anyone wants to confirm that macroprogestatifs are injectable/or implantable progestagens, i'd also be grateful. jo ann > Hi Jo Ann >  > Usually voie haute means via abdominal approach in opposition to voie basse which means via the vaginal approach. In your case and without context it's really hard to know if it's a laparoscopic approach (abdominal) or if the surgeon is supposed to proceed to a laparotomy (or abdominal). > Myomas can both be removed via laparoscopy or laparotomy.. >  > If you could give more context; that might help. > > >  > KARINA PETERSON MD > Consultant for medical affairs > Egg Harbor Township > NJ, 08234 > USA >  > > --- En date de : Lun 7.7.08, jodyc@... a écrit : > > De: jodyc@... > Objet: Fr En Voie haute > À: medical_translation > Date: Lundi 7 Juillet 2008, 17h42 > > > > > > > voie haute (compared with hysteroscopique) on a > history sheet for gyn surgery. i assume it's > abdominal, but am not sure, especially since the > layout of the form makes it very hard to be sure > what procedure we are talking about ... probably > either salpingotomy or myomectomy, but I can't be > sure. > > thanks > > jo ann > > -- > Jo Ann Cahn > Traduction et Relecture Scientiques > jacahnnoos (DOT) fr > joann.cahngmail (DOT) com > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > _____________________________________________________________________________ > Envoyez avec Yahoo!
