Guest guest
I never had a reaction to albuterol, but I did have a reaction to Advair and my Azmacort when I first started taking that. I believe the common mouth and throat side effects are: sore mouth, hoarse throat and occassionally oral candidiasis. If I don't rinse my mouth out quickly enough or throroughly enough after I take Azmacort, sometimes I vomit. I think that is because it tastes so bad to me. I could see that happening with the Combivent too, so I'm extra careful. My pharmacist at CVS did not notify me of a possible interaction between Advair and Serevent. Since then I have switched to the local pharmacy because they seem to take longer on filling prescriptions and actually appear to care. You have to be proactive and remind pharmacists and doctors exactly what medications you are taking. I believe that they view us only as a file and they may miss something by mistake. I caught the pharmacist at CVS and I have no idea what could have happened. He was very happy that I spoke up and so was I. Whenever I have a new prescription I ask to speak with the pharmacist about " what I may need to know " and remind them what prescriptions I am currently taking. Those talks provide information which is very important. Good luck to you.
