Trace minerals gain Welsh government recognition

This time last year a religious bull, name of Shambo, was trucked off to

the local abbatoir and slaughtered after testing positive to TB. The

Welsh government refused the bull antibiotics which is the usual

treatment for TB. Several years before this I met a man here in

Carmarthenshire who advises farmers on the use of trace minerals to

improve the immunity of livestock. Farmers using his method all had

herds clean of TB despite the fact that neighbouring farms, not using

his method, were rampant with TB. He wantedto try and persuade

government to try out his method but he was not hopeful. I never thought

in a month of Sundays that his voice would be heard specially in light

of the strong forces on the other side ( the you-know-whos!).

But I have to eat my words...I just found this article from a Welsh

newspaper. This Spring the Rural Affairs Minister announced that she

would be calling for a trial to be carried out to investigate the

plausibilty in using trace minerals as a tool against TB. This is

nothing short of amazing!!!!!!

I have put some links in here for anyone interested in this. The main

mineral under discussion is Selenium.
