Myotonia

Hi,..does anyone here have this illness, Myotonia? or Myotonia

Dystrophy? I've been researching this illness for a little over a week

now, and it is a very interesting condition. In fact, the reason I

started my research was because the results of ALL that blood work I had

done [remember 12 vials] showed elevated muscle enzymes. When I did a

web search about muscle enzymes I came up with several muscle disorders,

but the

above one matched my symptoms to a tee. It's considered a Neuromuscular

slow progressive disease, and rare, but HEY, after 17 years of

searching, and getting worse, and ruling out other things, I figured,

maybe I DO have a rare muscle disease, that took awhile for the symptoms

to show results. [that's common with this particular illness]

I had to go back in yesterday to have 4 more vials done [repeated

muscle enzyme tests], and if my Dr. suspects this, then I may be in line

for a muscle biopsy. [YOWZERS!!]. Anyhow, I think I'll forward an

article about it, and let you all read it, and maybe you know someone

who has it that might not mind if I contact them.
