Hi. I am new to the board and after two hours of reading the current

and past post, my head is a bit " swimmy. " I have come here though

because I have become increasingly serious about my soapmaking and am

exploring a few other products. The current soap forum I belong to

is 98% opposed to anything not " all natural " so getting my questions

answered is very difficult. I don't want to make anyone sick, get

sued or turn out a crappy product, so here is what I need to know.

What preservatives are needed (if any) in the following items I am

making currently (will phrenonip (sp??) work for most of these?):

1. MP soap with dried herbs (originally grown in my backyard and then

dried and crumbled)

2. MP soap with a tablespoon of honey added per pound? MP with

oatmeal added?

3. Bath powder made with kaolin clay, cornstarch, dried herb powders

such as rose and lavender & a drop or two of EO or FO?

4. A foaming milk/salt soak made of powdered milk, citric acid,

cornstarch, baking soda, baby oatmeal, & Fragrance Oil. Any different

answer with sweet almond oil or any oil added?

5. Lotion Bar made of shea, cocoa butter, oils and cornstarch

(different if the cornstarch is left out??)

5. Sugar Scrub of brown sugar, sweet almond, jojoba & other oils.
