Guest guest Posted January 26, 2006 Report Share Posted January 26, 2006 if the donor was in inpatient, the UB92 you receive should already be allowanced down to the DRG just make sure the diagnosis code is for living donor complications. If it's an outpatient bill, on the Medicare website lists the rates for all the states individually. I usually only reimburse at our rate and I've never had a complaint. I am receiving large bills for a post kidney donor who was hospitalized for pulmonary embolism in Missouri three weeks after donation.
