Guest guest
Hi Mike > Shine on man, shine on ! You can make this happen. Thanks :-) I hope your son is better soon. I work hard at things I enjoy. Probably even more extremely than I should. I always try and keep up with the latest, and most efficient things to help people. I guess the thing for me is knowing how to help. And I genuinely like that, but I also like learning as much as I can about anything. And I find that when I am at the desk and looking at my magazines on Microsoft Office 2000, SQL 7, and various server setups, I get queried by the sys admins, and so far the reaction has been good. And management has been making good noises, but budget allocations are based on how the US operations charge the Aus affiliates, and how the UK office decides on resource allocations. One of the best things so far, is that the techs in the area are used to Temps like me having no ability to work by myself, and the AS400 programmer, who works alongside me, and also answers phones, said that the best thing about me is that I can be left alone to work. viz, they trust me enough to be able to cope by myself. And that only took 2 days to establish. Anyway, I am enjoying life at the moment, and planning for changes in a few weeks and keeping my options open. All I can do is my very best, and then beyond that the decisions are in the hands of other people. I just have to get them to notice my good work. And thus far I have received at least 6 thank you emails, which even the others seem to have only a few of :-) > occur. As you can see, I put the whole fitness issue on a " mental fitness " > level. I find it easier to digest this way. My body I've given up > on but my > mind is gold ! The mind is the element that last the longest. I guess I am used to the old stage performer in me, where you usually have to be fit to get on stage, but you get fitter once there. But I have never been sure how that works. All I know is that I love rock, and even though some people my age seem to have " grown out of " their favorite bands, I still love the bands that inspired me in my life in the 70's. Either I am ossified, or I am a relic... maybe :-) . ****************************************** Milton | PH: 61-3-95104017 |santeri@... | MOBILE: 0407 841 426 ----------------------------------------------------------- http://www.eisa.net.au/~santeri " ...Turn around...LOOK!!
