Hummm...It depends on who I'm speaking with. If it's a co-worker, I sometimes get nervous and can't think of what to say, I've even stuttered, very embarrasing. With my husband, I don't get like that, but I still can't explain things w/him either:( Kumro wrote: This makes sense with me.. I'm generally a shy person until people get me to open up.. My friends know how to get me talking. But at my previous jobs, I am ALWAYS left out of conversations because I just don't care about most of the general chit chat between people so I don't say anything. But if people actually direct questions at me, I'll always answer and can engage in conversation if they're.. I don't know how ot put it exactly.. focusing on me? HiThis sounds like the need for stimulus which is what ADD suffersrequire. Not being able to tell stories or get your words out is dueto your brain not being stimulated enough to want to do it.How many times do you think you come across as arrogant when in reality you are just shy? Its because you need stimulace to engagein conversation with people. Therefore you generally wait to bespoken to so you have enough stimulus to reply. If the subject isnot interesting to you (in other words general chit chat) you quickly wonder off into another world!I cant tell stories either, even with the most exciting things thathave happened to me i get a friend to tell them on my

behalf, i justnod in the right places. But give me the right atmosphere and challenge and i can get throughit quite well. A wedding speech for instance. The stimulus is highas the addrenaline is pumping so gives you a helping hand.I am sure there is a link between lack of brain stimulus and SSS which is why its tranished with the same brush as ADD.Neil
