Guest guest
Happy New Year Everyone! I had the MRI done right before the holidays and knew I was going to wait until after Christmas for the results. Got them over the phone on the 28th and received the hard copy in the mail yesterday. The things they don't tell you over the phone can be amazing. Though I understand it as many people would probably panic, and it would be better to always tell people in person. Though I have noticed that even then, they skim over things. The phone conversation said that the MRI confirmed the CT scan regarding the lesion found as well as the original two cysts in the liver. The nurse also stated that I am not one of the topics at the team meetings. Guess I have kind of moved up on their radar scan. Instead of the 6 month interval for MRI's, they are now every 90 days. I guess I will be sweating out the results again in March. Now that I have the hard copy results I see the things that they did not tell me over the phone...instead of two lesions there are four that are measurable and two that are too small to measure. Oh life is fun! I know that even though I have a lower meld score that some of this can move me up the list through the milan criteria. Has anyone been moved up that way and what was involved before the criteria applied? Thanks for listening and here is my new year wish for each of you: May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ............ May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!
Guest guest
I hope you get a liver, be it MELD exception point, or Milan criteria, or whatever.
