Guest guest
I don't know anything about this particular review Zoe, but here in my authority there are big changes afoot and not for the better from what I can see. The thing is when they invite parents to consultations it can just mean that they are able to say the changes were as a result of consultations with x, y z and parents as though parents agreed the outcome, often times they haven't agreed any of it, so it is very misleading. I know the answer isn't to make decisions without parents but my experience is this is just another tactic when the outcome has already been decided. Off topic here but another example is the recent carer review, all the big charities gave a cautious welcome to the results when infact all across the board carers are livid that there was no increase in CA and certainly did not welcome it at all! In the 10yrs or so I have been dealing with SEN for my children I have only seen the provision decline, nothing has improved in all that time and I seriously doubt it ever will, I remember the odd 10yr plan being mentioned but after 6 months we have all forgotton never mind 10 yrs. I could rant on all night as I am still fighting the good fight for my son who is now 13, the fight began when he was 5. Vicky
Guest guest
Unless it was an absolutely huge file, it should have taken about half an hour. I would query this! Margaret I went to a commercial copy shop yesterday and got a 270 page file copied for £20. > > > > > > > > > > Hi Margaret, > > > > > > > > > > Is £13.50 the amount the carer gets or the amount the agency > > charges > > > > the > > > > > authority? > > > > > > > > > > Jane > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
it's finding the energy. I spent many many hours up to 1am submitting detailed evidence to the last Ofsted Inspector. They appear to have ignored it. So I should have complained to Ofsted, I know. Guest guest
....yep, it's crazy isn't it? Thanks for the comparison. I've asked for an urgent meeting with the Chair of the school Governors and will be taking along my legal rep (who's also helping me with my Tribunal case).... > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Margaret, > > > > > > > > > > > > Is £13.50 the amount the carer gets or the amount the > agency > > > charges > > > > > the > > > > > > authority? > > > > > > > > > > > > Jane > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
....forgot to add: it's 500 pages at 10p per page plus £60 for 6 hours' worth of photocopying, so £110. I think I'll take back all the playground equipment I provided from my Carer's Allowance when the school pleaded poverty last year. This year they wasted thousands of pounds tarting up the school with fresh paint, twee signs, a fancy flagpole and a new toilet just for a 2-hour Royal visit. That money could have bought them a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for the children. Don't get me started... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Margaret, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Is £13.50 the amount the carer gets or the amount the > > agency > > > > charges > > > > > > the > > > > > > > authority? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Jane > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
....thanks, yes, I shall ask the Chair of Governors about that...

Guest guest
did they give you the option of doing it yourself, going into their photocopy space and doing the work yourself? I take it you have paid already. If you had pleaded poverty, what would they have done - said no? There is no way i could have afforded that. madness and such outright cheek. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Margaret, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Is £13.50 the amount the carer gets or the amount the > > > agency > > > > > charges > > > > > > > the > > > > > > > > authority? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Jane > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
