Guest guest
Hi all, It has been three months since my liver transplant, and I had my last appointment with the surgeon today. He said my labs are " perfect " , and I am doing " great " . He was incredibly pleased. He said I am the only person he didn't have to make any changes for. Usually, he makes changes with the meds at every appointment. I do labs once a week, and have to start seeing the hepatologist in two months. I've seen the hepatologist a couple of times before and every time I have an appointment with the surgeon, he always pops in to say hi. He's a nice guy. The surgeon is too. The surgeon is actually the chief of surgery at the transplant center. I feel great and have so much energy now, and strong. I never had any rejection, and hope it continues that way (knock on wood). I will eventually have to do the treatment for the Hepatitis C, which doesn't disappear after transplant and treatment has to be done. Hopefully, treatment will make it undetectable so it doesn't damage my new liver. My viral count for the Hepatitis C is quite low. I hope everyone is doing well and things will work out for everyone. I read the postings every day, and pray for all of you and/or your loved ones to be as healthy as possible. Life is very precious.
