Guest guest
Hi Helen, If the behaviours started before you took out the calcium, then maybe gut bugs?? Have you tried dioxychlor?? I think Mandimart is now stocking it. If you are just starting the K2 protocol, then I will talk you through the stages if you like. If you have already started the K2, then I would recommend that you add in some Cod Liver Oil, if you're at 1 drop of K2, then probably 1 capsule of CLO would be sufficient at this stage. When you start using K2, you will start to move some calcium, so I would also establish your magnesium dosing pretty early. Magnesium will keep him calm as the intracellular calcium is moved. Eleanor takes about 700mg spread throughout the day, she weighs 60lbs, but she is on her maximum K2, so you may not need this high a dose to start with. If your boy has previously reacted to VSL#3, then consider the possibility that you broke up some calcium oxalate crystals, therefore releasing some unmanaged calcium. Under these circumstances, I would recommend that K2 is well established before you try VSL#3 again. (consider that it also may have been a good die-off??) Also consider at this stage getting your bicarb established. If your boy will take it in water, then you can just use bicarbonate of soda from the cooking aisle in the supermarket. However, it tastes pretty vile, so you can order capsules. Klaire laboratories stock it, or wellnessworks. Start very slowly, and also consider adding some to his bath. You can get the bath bicarb from justasoap. This will help his kidneys to excrete acid, which will make him feel a whole lot better, and eventually reduce the severity of any renal and metabolic acidosis. Hope this is enough to get you started!! Joy x Hi JoyThanks so much for replying. Yes I have got a copy of the protocol.I have answered these questions in block capitals. Not sure how to highlight them. They are mostly no's as haven't started any of the other things yet...just thought i'd take Cal out. Do other things have to be in place at the time of taking out the CAL EAP2? I only added in K2 (1 drop) yesterday but behaviour and weeing started before this (ie when took out Cal I think). Thanks so much for your help.Helen x

Guest guest
Thanks Joy so much The behaviours and weeing happened when we took the Cal EAP2 out I think. Re Cod liver oil . Have used Kirkman CLO in the past. Would 1 tsp equate to 1 cap? Re Mag. Thinking you use Mag EAP2? Are doses all based on weight? Could you point me in the direction of the web site to access these quantities please. Can you mix Bicarb in with friut puree or will it all froth up?!! Thanks for all your help. Am now going to read up on protocol again. Hope Eleanor is continuing to do really well.
