Guest guest
He's at home, but goes to the hospital every 2 weeks to have his ascites tap. Today he is having an endoscopy cause the doctor thinks his liver may be bleeding. To: livercirrhosissupport@...: mac0184@...: Sat, 19 Jan 2008 19:30:06 -0800Subject: RE: What's next? I would ask that they start dialysis immediately or control the medication for the ascites to help protect the kidney further. Is you husband in a hospital or at home?MaCTracey O'Brien wrote: Yes the cirrohsis was caused by the Hep c, then alcohol didnt help. Guest guest
Did they band the varices? The gastritis can be treated with medication and usually resolves. P.S. did the lab result state if the numbers you posted were high or low? In the US the number is usually followed by a H or a L depending on the lab and sometimes includes a normal range number. MaC sexylovelymum wrote: The endoscopy found a noticeable varix and mild portal hypertensive gastritis. We go back to the liver specialist during the week. Blood counts : haemoglobin 78, bilirubin 16, albumin 29. These are all Australian results. --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.
