Guest guest
I was looking for info on Probiotics-came across Anita's notes but have a query on what probiotics to give when. I give on an empty stomach in the early morning and well after supper? I am reading some of you give at other times ... just wondering what probiotics can be given with meals and do they work just as well that way. Feed back on the following would be good CP 1 Bio care Acidophilus Cuturalle Kirkmant's Pro pri gold SB - not even goint to attempt it. VSL Feedback on others would be good too. Give me an idea how much you are using as well. I asked this question at the conference and realised I was giving very little compared to others. For the record and to make sure I have finally got this - probiotics are not to be given with enzymes and anti fungals right? thanks Aileen
Guest guest
Hi Aileen has CP1 x1 am Mindlinx x1 pm Bioacid Forte/Probioplex x1 pm. These are all given first and last thing, away from enzymes and gut bug killers. I remember you asking this. I think we are way under what some others give as well. Aim to start threelac and VSL#3 'soon'.... Guest guest
Helen the funniest thing has happened. Cian slept to 10am this morning and has been as quite as a mouse all day, just toddling around..really calm, quiet...back to normal.. Now the last two days especially Sat was busy busy busy and he hadn't sleep a full night for over a week. I was blaming the enzymes-and considering lowering the dose but didn't . ~What I did do was lowered his probiotics again by default. When I came back from the conference I opt my probiotic 2CP1 morn and night same as you to 4CPI. I also give him 1 Culturalle in the morn and 1 Kirkman Pro bio gold at night. Yesterday he only got 4 CP1 in morn because I was away and the help couldn't find the culturelle (it isn't in a pot)Anyway he fell asleep last night early before I got back and didn't get any night time Probiotics...so now I am wondering was it the increase in probiotics waking him? or was it the Culurelle or was it the Kirkmans? Also at the conference it was suggested that you know a probiotic is working if your child reacts to it..so is this behaviour which is pretty hard to live with a good reaction or a bad one....I wish I could work out this probiotic thing..... Thanks Aileen > > > > I was looking for info on Probiotics-came across Anita's notes but > > have a query on what probiotics to give when. > > > > I give on an empty stomach in the early morning and well after > supper? > > > > I am reading some of you give at other times ... just wondering > what > > probiotics can be given with meals and do they work just as well > that > > way. > > > > Feed back on the following would be good > > CP 1 > > Bio care Acidophilus > > Cuturalle > > Kirkmant's Pro pri gold > > SB - not even goint to attempt it. > > VSL > > > > Feedback on others would be good too. > > > > > > Give me an idea how much you are using as well. Guest guest
Hello Aileen Guess the only thing to do would to not give probiotics for a few evenings then you might know... Good or bad reactions..Who knows?!! We had 'die off' from vsl#3 which lasted weeks. Finally took him off it and he returned to 'normal'. Not sure at what stage you throw in the towel with a particular probiotic . After all , how can 'die off' be good if it is lasting weeks? Battening down the hatches tonight as got hold of Toby's actimels and guzzled 3 of them. Oh the look of delight on his face.
