Guest guest
Hi Ray, I hope 1999 will be very good to you and your family. I am really intrested in the Ankylosing S. Is this another list that you are involved in? I would appreciate it, if you could give me some information about it. Thanks, Lois H. R. Neal wrote: > > > > I'm back in town! Guest guest
LL, for information on Reiters Syndrome, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome (IBS, aka Chron's Disease), or Psoriatic Arthritis go to this web-site and sign-up. I am on board of trustees of this group and will vouch for its usually good information (of course, you can't control everyone's input). The archives and library sites have tremendous amounts of information for anyone suffering from one of these Spondylitis diseases: www.risg.org I have Reiters Syndrome diagnosed at age 25 some 24 years ago, but had symptoms since childhood. They now diagnose such children as having Juvenile Spondylitis as opposed to Juvenile Arthritis because the syndrome of symptoms is so different from arthritis. Of course, I was a child 40 years ago when I developed first symptoms at age 9 according to my mother, but docs then called it " growing pains " or " psychiatric problems. " My mom is now dying from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis another one of the auto-immune diseases. She went for five years with her doctor telling her it was all in her mind before he let her go to pulmonologist and have a biopsy of her lungs. That was a year ago and they now give her less than six months to live from her supposedly " Psychiatric " problem. The auto-immune diseases like IPF, RA, RS, AK, PA, and IBS, etc., are often misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all. Visit the RISG site and you can learn a lot about AK (Ankylosing Spondylitis), etc. Ray in Virginia
